Betty Bliss Memorial Yardstick Race

A great days racing on the river this week for the annual Betty Bliss Memorial Yarstick Race. Some very close racing was seen, especially amongst the Lasers before 16ft Skiff "BAMM" managed to break clear and get through their 4 laps with ease. The Laser Full Rig of "Flashback" sailed by Steve Geck took 2nd place by a whisker over the 125 "Apollo" sailed by Georgia Burns.

Line honours was taken out by James Caine in his Sabot "Intrinsic" and against a strong incoming tide for the first upwind leg so a very creditable performance.

A big thankyou to the Bliss family for presenting the trophy to the wining team on the day.
